The annual African Vegetable Breeding Consortium (AVBC) Workshop is in full swing at the World Vegetable Centre in Arusha, Tanzania.
Delegates kicked things off by diving into the latest on demand for okra, amaranth, and pepper seeds. Day one also included a cool tour of the Centre’s genebank facilities, plus field trips and one-on-one sessions with breeders.
This awesome consortium is a partnership between the World Vegetable Center African Seed Trade Association (AFSTA), with AFSTA’s Aghan Daniel representing them at the event.
